Preparing for Your First Behavioral Health Appointment

TribaLights · Published September 11, 2026

A first conversation does not require a perfect explanation of what you are experiencing. A few notes can help you describe what you need and decide whether a provider is a good fit.

Before you call

Write down your main concern, a goal you would like support with, and the days you can attend. Have your insurance plan name available. Decide whether you prefer an in-person appointment or want to ask about remote care.

Questions for the intake team

At TribaLights

Our team can discuss intensive outpatient care, community support, and housing questions for Santa Fe and Albuquerque. An intake conversation helps clarify the next step; placement depends on assessment, eligibility, and availability. Contact TribaLights or prepare your coverage questions.
